A Special Thanks
A big thanks to all who helped prepare and serve the meal at our Annual Stated and to Worshipful Cliff for picking up the poinsettias and preparing the names, maps, and to all the Brethren who helped deliver them. My hat goes off to the "Mud Tux Guys" for not leaving any Brethren stuck in the mud after our annual stated meeting. From the East
Brethren,It is with great pleasure and honor that you have elected me as Worshipful Master for the ensuing year. I will try and follow in the footsteps and traditions of the Past Masters of Princess Anne. As you may already know, I have adopted a theme for this year: "Fun, Family, and Fellowship"; I plan to do a lot of it. With your help we will make this a successful year. In keeping with the Grand Master theme "Forget not the Duties,” our first Saturday school will be in part on the duties. All officers please attend.
Our lodge is sponsoring a blood drive at Lynnhaven No. 220 on January 25th. What greater gift than the gift of life. Let's show our support.
We will have our first of many out-of-District visits on January 19th at Indian River Lodge No. 252. Hope to see you there.
Brethren, Ladies, Widows and Friends: The Grand Master of Masons in Virginia, Most Worshipful William Earl Rorer, Jr., will make his official visit to the 56th Masonic District on Saturday evening, January 16th, 2010. The visit will be conducted as an open meeting in the fellowship hall of Bayside Masonic Temple, 1465 Independence Boulevard, Virginia Beach, VA. 23455. Open meeting means that wives, special ladies, our cherished widows and even our sons, neighbors and friends whom you think may be interested in our gentle craft can participate. The doors will open at 5:45 PM for a social period, with dinner being served at 6:30 PM. Please put this date on your calendar and join us as we give our Grand Master and his lovely wife Judith a Virginia Beach welcome they can remember all year. Look forward to seeing you there.
Phoebe and I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and prosperous New Year.
Fraternally,
Robert E. Braswell
Worshipful Master, Princess Anne Masonic Lodge No. 25
Note from the Secretary
With over two hundred members, it is sometimes difficult for the Telephone Committee to notify everyone in a timely manner when a funeral or special event occurs. This problem is compounded as some of the Officers work shifts or travel out of town on business. Notifying members by email would significantly ease the process of getting the information to everyone. If you have not done so already, please send your email address to me at . |
